WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

There are ten more days until Christmas Day and I thought it would be the perfect time to stop and take a breath to enjoy the season of Christmas. I am in good shape this year. The tree is decorated, the gifts are purchased and wrapped, the cards are made and sent and today I will be baking cookies. Ahhhh, I love this time of the year. But this season, I am especially appreciating because my Parkinson’s tremors are basically gone since I had the Deep Brain Stimulation Procedure this year.

Every day I discover something new that I can now do with ease and without the turmoil of hand and leg tremors. It is like discovering a daily treasure and enjoying the excitement that goes along with that. I feel so fortunate to have the ability to perform the most basic of skills, like measuring ingredients, cutting with scissors and just writing a note. The joy from doing the simplest tasks of living is what I feel most blessed for during this season. WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!
