GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!

GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!

Last night I had a ball at the Ball. There was food and wine and decorations and music. My husband looked dashing in his navy suit with his red tie and I loved spending time with him on a super duper date, But what really made the night was dancing with the girls! You see it is really true, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun!”

Throughout the night, I danced with Karen and Diane and Jan and Biz and Jeanne and Carol and Sue and Pat and Valerie and another Pat, just to name a few. We danced to the Electric Slide, Uptown Funk, Billie Jean and many, many more. The magic that happens when you put a group of fun loving women on a dance floor is indescribable. There is a camaraderie among us gals that occurs with music, wine and a dance floor especially during this time of year. With the Christmas season comes an avalanche of things to do. We are so busy shopping for gifts, cooking holiday meals, baking cookies, trimming trees, etc, that we long for some play time too.

So we get on the dance floor and we wiggle, we jiggle (especially this Parkinson’s girl), we stumble and sometimes we fall. And while all of this moving is going on, we sing every word to every song as we use our facial expressions and our hands to emphasis the lyrics. We are ambidextrous, multitalented and just plain crazed.

So here is some advice to those ladies who may not have the opportunity to go to a ball this season. Grab a girlfriend or two or three, put some oldies or newbies on the juke box, maybe pour a glass or two of Chardonnay and just dance. Because it is true, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun!”
