One Month of Blogging
It has been one month since I started this blog and I thought it was a good time to take a pause and reflect. What an interesting journey it has been writing about my feelings and sharing them with others. The response has been positive and encouraging. I am especially pleased that my posts have helped people with many issues of disability (a word I do not like to use). I think by sharing the ups and downs of living with Parkinson’s, I may have sparked some hope in people who face challenges of all kinds. I know when I learn about others who are struggling with mobility or tremors, I want to hear how they handle them. Tips and strategies are invaluable when you have a chronic condition. People living with the disease can best describe what works best. They have been there and done that!
There are days when I feel it is self-indulgent to write about ME, but I try to remember the goal is to share my experiences in order to help the reader or a friend of the reader or a family member of the reader. This is the interesting thing about a blog, you never really know who may see it. You hope those who do read it find something that may be beneficial to them. It may be a practical idea for traveling or shopping or exercising. It may be a story about pets, or home, or friendship. Or it simply may be a reflection on life, with a little humor tossed in for fun. Whatever it is that brings readers to this blog, I hope they find it helpful, enjoyable and they return often for another post.
