CAREGIVERS NEED CARE TOO

Caring for a loved one comes natural to most of us and we are especially blessed when the care is not too demanding and short. I have had the strong support of my family and friends while caring for my husband who is recouping from heart surgery. He is mending quickly and doing remarkably well.

Just this small amount of caregiving has made me empathize with those care givers who have loved ones with degenerative, chronic illnesses whose days and nights are filled with providing constant housekeeping, cooking , medical, emotional, etc. care . I know of several friends and neighbors who are in this situation and applaud them, but also wish they had it differently.

So today’s post is just a reminder to lend a hand, provide a meal, offer a cup of coffee or just take a moment to chat with the one providing care…..such a small gesture makes a huge difference. Remember, caregivers need care too.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND NEIGHBORS FOR THEIR CARDS, GIFTS, PRAYERS, AND ALL AROUND CARE THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN US. HOW TRULY FORTUNATE WE ARE TO HAVE YOU IN OUR LIVES!
