AGE IS JUST A NUMBER!!!! 1-20-2025

I just turned 70 years old last May and thought ,”wow, I am old…” Yet, I do not feel that I am seven plus decades old. Isn’t age just a number????? The number does not dictate the way you live your life unless you choose it to be so. Parkinson’s simply makes the number more challenging. This photo was taken at a yacht club Christmas party where dancing was included as part of the evening. Parkinson’s and dancing do not really go well together, so what!??? I had a blast dancing the night away with most of my girlfriends who have taken line dancing classes with me. We sang along with each song and moved around the dance floor like we were professionals….. When the song, “Dancing Queen,” started to play, we sang to each verse while passing around the Tierra to each other. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed swaying to the music dancing the night away. So the message today is do not let any disease or disability hinder your fun. The tendency is to say, “I have Parkinson’s “ thus, stopping you from having some of the best times of your life.

In a few weeks, the Valentine’s Dinner Dance will be happening and despite being 70+ l will be there with Parkinson’s and a spring in my step and a few shakes in my body. After all when everything is said and done, regardless of our age and our condition, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun!”
